Casual Events Steward x5
The Platform is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to work as part of a team, your duties will include stewarding indoor and outdoor events / performances.
You will be required to work behind a busy licenced bar and be able to prepare, serve and present alcoholic / non-alcoholic drinks quickly and efficiently, meeting our high standards.
You will work in The Platform Box office using a computerised box office system.
The post holder will have good communication skills, have the ability to move and re-set seating and other heavy furniture and assist with unloading and loading of artist’s equipment.
The hours of work for this position are flexible and you must be prepared to work evenings and weekends.
As a casual worker, you will be paid only for the hours which you work. The nature of casual work means that there is no mutuality of obligation. This means that the Council is not obliged to offer you any hours and neither are you obligated to accept any hours offered. The Council cannot guarantee that work will be available every week.
Earlier this year Lancaster City Council unanimously declared a climate emergency and will therefore work towards reducing carbon emissions to net-zero by 2030. As part of this role, you will be expected to participate and work towards reducing carbon emissions.
