Williamson Park is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their passionate team in the bustling Pavilion Café. The café is open 7 days per week and offers an exciting menu using local suppliers and produce.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our dedicated team. We are looking for someone who thrives in a busy atmosphere and works well under pressure.

You will be responsible for a range of duties including the sourcing, preparation, and delivery of all menu items in a busy kitchen environment. The applicant must have a passion for catering and an ability to deliver excellently presented food to all park visitors. Time management skills are essential as the kitchen delivers to a large number of covers on a daily basis. You must have a thorough understanding of environmental health regulations and allergen legislation.

Duties will also include offering the highest standard of customers service whilst preparing and serving a range of beverages, operating the till and cleaning and tidying both the indoor and outdoor seating areas.

There is also opportunity to work across departments including the ice cream concession within the park’s grounds, catering and bar work for weddings and events to include Highest Point Festival and the Lancaster Grand Prix.

You will be based in the Pavilion Café set in beautiful, listed grounds of Williamson Park and your hours of work will be 37 hours including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays in line with business need, but will consider part time applications.

Lancaster City Council has unanimously declared a climate emergency and will therefore work towards reducing carbon emissions to net-zero by 2030. As part of this role, you will be expected to participate and work towards reducing carbon emissions.
