SMART testing of asymptomatic COVID-19 cases plays a fundamental part in stopping the spread of COVID-19. We are launching testing for those who are asymptomatic to help identify and isolate individuals who have COVID-19, but do not have symptoms and may inadvertently spread the virus to others.

 

We are looking for a dedicated individuals to fill the roles of Team Leader.  You will need excellent customer service skills and be passionate about helping in the fight against COVID-19.

 

You will be responsible for supporting individuals through the end-to-end testing experience and supporting wider site operations. Key activities include managing social distancing through orderly queuing, supporting customers through registration, providing verbal guidance on the testing process and regular cleaning of the site. You will also support with the preparation and analysis of test samples, and the recording of results.

 

In addition, as a Team Leader you will also have responsibility for the overall site operation, ensuring delivery of the testing services, adherence to health and safety protocol and day-to-day workforce supervision.

 

The safety of the workforce and customers is the utmost priority for all testing operations; full PPE and strict infection prevention and control measures will be in place to ensure a safe working environment at all times, as well as all of the relevant training for the roles.

 

This role is temporary for 6 months. The hours of work are up to 37 hours per week. There are fixed term or casual contracts available. The role is based at Morecambe Town Hall but may be mobile around the district.

 

A full current UK driving licence is essential, as the post holder may be required to travel around the district. Reasonable adjustments can be made for those who are unable to drive due to a disability.

 

For internal applicants, this role can be a secondment opportunity. When these roles come to an end, any successful internal applicants will return to their substantive roles. The secondment of an employee from another Service can only take place with the agreement of the Manager of the Service the applicant is contracted to
