Join Lancaster City Council as our Housing Systems Manager!

Are you passionate about delivering excellent service and driving digital transformation? Lancaster City Council is looking for a dynamic and motivated Housing Systems Manager to lead our systems team within the Housing and Property Service.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing and improving our core housing systems, ensuring they align with business objectives and deliver efficient, responsive service. You’ll support the transition to our new Housing One system, balancing business-as-usual with exciting project work. This is a hybrid role, reporting to the Customer Experience Manager, and involves line management of a small, dedicated team.

This role is permenant working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday with a requirement of occasional evening or weekend work.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience leading IT implementation projects in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop your team.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and relationship management abilities.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • A commitment to equality, and the Council’s values.
  • Project management certification (such as Prince2, PMP, or Agile) and experience with housing specific ICT systems are desirable but not essential.
