The Role

It would be an advantage to have experience of similar work, although full training will be provided. You will sanitise, sweep and mop floors, clean toilets, dust, polish, clean surfaces, vacuum and empty bins.

A flexible attitude to work is essential, you may occasionally be required to provide cleaning cover to other Council buildings. 

There are various permanent posts available:

  • Post 1 - Kingsway Court (Heysham)- 7.5 hours a week, 2.5 hours a days 3 times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays), 7am - 9.30am.
  • Post 2 - Ripley Court (Lancaster)- 7.5 hours a week, 2.5 hours a days 3 times a week, (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays) 7am - 9.30am. 
  • Post 3 - Penhale Gardens (Heysham)- 1 hour once a week on Thursday mornings between 8am and 12 noon.
  • Post 4 - Alder Grove (Lancaster)- 1 hour once a week, to be carried out on a Monday or Tuesday, times and days may be discussed. 
  • Post 5 - Morley Close (Lancaster)- 1 hour once a week, days/times may be discussed.
