Housing Service Support Assistant (Maternity Cover)
The Role
Lancaster City Council are currently recruiting for a Housing Service Support Assistant for our Council Housing Department. You will provide essential administrative support to the department, dealing with customer queries and undertaking a range of case-working duties.
This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and for this reason, you will be expected to be flexible in line with the needs of the business, as the role may vary from day to day. A professional and confidential approach is always required, and strong communication skills are essential.
Essential Skills Required:
- PC Literate, fully competent with Outlook, Excel, and Microsoft packages
- 2 years administrative experience
- Excellent organisational and communication skills

This role is temporary until May 2025.
The hours for this post are 37 hours per week, this is a Hybrid role, though you will be required to work from Lancaster Town Hall on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week. Core Business Hours are 9am – 5pm.
Full equipment will be provided.
The Council currently operates an excellent Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post. Subject to the needs of this business, this may allow employees to work between the hours of 6:00am-10:30pm.
