Building Cleaner
Lancaster City Council is seeking to recruit a reliable Building Cleaner to perform and undertake cleaning duties at our offices and buildings. Ability to communicate clearly and to understand written instructions is essential.
It would be an advantage to have experience of similar work, although full training will be provided. You will sanitise, sweep and mop floors & stairs, clean toilets, dust, polish, clean surfaces and empty bins.
A flexible attitude to work is essential, as you will be required to cover Bank Holidays & annual leave and you may occasionally be required to provide cleaning cover to other Council buildings.
This position is necessarily based at Gummers Howe in Carnforth, but the hours may be needed at other council buildings. You will be expected to work in any Council location as requested, with reasonable notice. The hours of work are 3 hours per week, working between 7am & 10am, 1.5 hours each day on Mondays & Thursdays.
