Project and Executive Support Officer
We are looking for an incredibly organised, enthusiastic and adaptable individual to join Economic Growth and Regeneration’s Service Support Team.
There are a number of exciting transformational initiatives for the district in development, including regeneration of Lancaster’s Canal Quarter, creation of Bailrigg Garden Village, regeneration of Morecambe town centre and strategic coastal and flood defence projects.
As a Project and Executive Support Officer you will provide crucial executive support to the director and his management team. You will also provide support for a range of project management, administration and financial management activities for key areas of the directorate.
You must have a high degree of numeracy skill and be competent in the use of spreadsheets and should have an understanding of project management methodologies.
You must possess a good standard of education at GCSE Grade C or above including English and Mathematics (or equivalent) and be qualified and have working experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
You will have direct contact with colleagues in other Services of the Authority, external agencies and members of the public. You will have excellent numeracy, keyboard and communication skills and will be committed to high standards of customer service.
The hours of work for this position are 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday. The post is based at Palatine Hall, but there will be a requirement to work from other Council Buildings when required.
This post is offered as temporary position until 31st March 2022.
For internal applicants, this role can be a secondment opportunity. When this role comes to an end, a successful internal applicant will return to their substantive role. The secondment of an employee from another Service can only take place with the agreement of the Manager of the Service the applicant is contracted to.
